A group of Aberdeen Lads Club children headed to Findon at the weekend for a special visit to meet Santa Claus himself.
Eight youngsters from our Little Learners Nursery headed to Findon’s Farm Stop where they not only met with Father Christmas, but also had the opportunity to pet, cuddle and feed a whole range of animals, including sheep, cows, pigs and alpacas.
Some of the children were allowed to brush the farm’s guinea pigs, all named after biscuits, and a number of them were even able to milk a life-sized model cow.
Located on the outskirts of Portlethen, and owned and run by the Polson family, Farm Stop’s purpose-built facility offers unique, safe and fun-filled farm experiences for all ages.
As well as meeting Santa and all the animals, the children got to sit on a tractor, play with diggers in the sand pit and walk around the farm on a carrot finding treasure hunt.
The trip was made possible thanks to the generosity of Infinity Partnership’s Simon Cowie and the team from Farm Stop.
Angie Johnston, Aberdeen Lads Club manager, said: “We can’t thank Simon and the Farm Stop team enough for arranging to have our children visit the farm.
“Christmas is obviously such a special time, especially for our nursery and primary school children, and it was so lovely to see how excited they were getting to meet Santa and his elves.
"They also loved the chance to get to interact with the animals and play with all the toys. It was certainly a happy bus coming back up to Aberdeen. We’ll definitely be back again!”. More information about Farm Stop can be found at www.farmstop.co.uk
